World WKA President - Dave Sawyer
Dave Sawyer in the Studio
Dave Sawyer took over the management of the WKA from Paul Ingram December 2018, after holding the interim position following Paul’s accident.
Since taking over his drive has been to bring the WKA back to it former Glory. After putting together his senior team it was decided that in 2019 WKA would hold its first standalone World Championships for several years. This lead to the start of the New Era with a successful event in Poland, Wales and Bali.
With many new faces coming into the WKA along with old members returning, the future looks bright for the WKA.
Dave has been involved for many years with the WKA, firstly as New Zealand National Representative, then Oceania, Asia Pacific upto World Vice President before stepping into the shoes of the World President role.
Dave Sawyer in the Studio
Dave resides in New Zealand and along with Kirsty Sawyer and the senior team have brought a culture of new ideas. This has lead to a huge renewed interest with the 45th birthday of the WKA fast approaching.
One of the best things Dave says about being the World President is that he gets to meet great people and is always open to hear from all levels of our association.
If you get a chance to meet him, make sure you say hello.
