The Original Vision of WKA

When WKA was conceived in 1976, the goal was simple: create a stronger, fairer, and more international future for karate and kickboxing. At the time, there was a need for better organization and more consistent rules.

The founders believed fighters deserved official rankings, world championships, and fair opportunities to compete. WKA was created to provide exactly that.

Nearly 50 years later, that same vision continues to guide the organization and its work around the world.
